Fight Roger

Junior got into the fight with Roger, and punched him in the nose. When this happened everybody started becoming Junior's friend. I felt this wasn't very realistic at all. If i got punched in the nose and started bleeding i would of fought back, and try to retaliate. Instead Roger just walked away and became his friend. I also thought that when his friends didn't do anything about it, it also didn't seem realistic. this is because most friends will back you up, and plus in that area the white people are pretty racist, so I don't see why they didn't join in the fight.

  1. Good comments--your reactions make sense to me. Did Junior's explanation that they had different "rules" make sense at all?

  2. I think the reason why people didn't jump in on the fight was because it was totally out of the blue. Rodger is this big tough looking basketball player and Junior, well hes just a poor, short, silent Indian. But I totally agree with you, if it happened her at Johnston I know a few people that would love to get a punch in.

  3. I think Junior thought that all people lived by the rules he lived by on the rez. He wasn't use to that not everyone thinks you have to fight. But I do agree the fight wasn't realistic because usually when you get punched you want to punch that person back for revenge.
