friendship
Rowdy and Junior were the best of friends throughout there lives. When Junior changed schools, this friendship stopped and Rowdy hated him. If they were truly friends I feel Rowdy would be happy for Junior. I don't understand why Rowdy would suddenly hate Junior for trying to better his life. Since there friendship ended over something that little I feel it wasn't that strong of a friendship. I feel Rowdy only tolerated him, because he was the only one on the rez that had some of the same interests. I feel Junior liked him only because he was the only one who didn't mess him, and he protected him. Once he found people who actually liked him for who he was he realized that his friendship with Rowdy wasn't as close as he thought.
New Kid
When Junior changed schools, he was the new kid and he got a lot of attention. He soon became pretty popular. I've noticed that when your school doesn't have anybody new there for a while, then gets a new kid, that kid gets a lot of attention. This is because people are used to everyone that when someone different comes everybody wants to know about him. I've also noticed that when your school gets a lot of new kids around the same time they don't seem to get a lot of attention.
Language in Absolute true diary
In some areas of this book it got detailed about stuff that usually isn't openly talked about. I liked how the author put these parts in, because it makes it seem like its more of a true story, and it grabs your attention. You don't expect to read about Arnold's alone time, but it is good to put it in there cause it seems more realistic on how he thinks.
Hope=White
One of the drawings in the book showed white clouds and a white unicorn type thing. What he was talking about was how when your white you have hope, and that for him hope is a mythical creature. This made me think about if this is true, and the more I thought about it, it seemed true. I've noticed that there is more hope for white kids, than other races. The other races aren't shown very much hope at all, and most of them will never get out of poverty. This goes to some religions, because some of them say a dove shows hope, and doves are white. This shows that white people get more hope than other races.
Literacy Wellness
For this project I read a few different books. On that I read a little bit of was The Shack, which is about a man who gets invited to the shack where his daughter died by a random letter. It was signed by God. He decides to go and he is surprised at what he finds.
Finding Books
Whenever I look for a new book, I don't like going to the library to look around. I also don't like it when you get told about a book, and you want to know more about it and if people like it. I found this website that will help you find books faster and reviews on them. It makes it so you don't have to go to the library to find books, and it is a lot faster to find book reviews on this website.

Al Capone Does My Shirts

This is my independent teen novel. It's about a family that has to move to Alcatraz, and live there because there dad received a job working as an electrician/guard at the prison. I haven't made it very far in the book, but so far it has been weird. I don't know what the main story is going be, because so far nothing interesting has happened. All I know is he found a girl that he likes, and his sister has something wrong with her.
